my online college class wants 4 papers and a final in 5 weeks! this is impossible!! AND we ahve to read chapters from our textbook on writing papers! This is ridiculous!

That's not unreasonable for a summer course, Dani. The key is to work a given amount of scheduled time each day - that way you're not rushing on anything.

that's an idea...the teacher keeps saying how all the papers will tie in together, but I have no idea how. so how can I write my first paper if I don't know the other paper topics?! what if my topic isn't right for the other papers? a paper a week is not enough time!

You write the first paper as required, and trust your instructor to know what he/she is doing in terms of assigning future topics, so that one builds on the next.

In other words, you're worrying too much.
